about

February 2019

The building of a workshop in the church of Jaywick is the elaboration of a co-design methodology and the development of cryptocurrency miners.

Setting up screens, keyboards, minicomputers, instructions. Waiting for the participants…1 hour… 2 hours.
The first five participants - explaining how we could use minicomputers to my cryptocurrency and generate monetary value for the community of Jaywick.

The sound of the hands typing on the keyboards. The coffees on the desk. The laughs echoing due to the church acoustic. The frustration of the ones who struggle to code and run their crypto miners. The others who are helping.

The church becoming an open space during an ephemeral working day. The question of the community - How they are going to organise each other to create a micro-economy. How are they going to power these cryptocurrency miners?
